facebook app problems after clearing data

I cleared my Facebook app data cause it was using 62mb of my 150 available for apps on my incredible, but after doing that the chat doesn't work anymore. It just auto says none of your friends are available to chat but i can go to the mobile site and see 10 ppl available or whatever the real number is at that moment.

Have you tried using Facebook messenger? It's a separate app but significantly better than the chat built into the main Facebook app.

I always had issues with chat not showing up users correctly or updating conversations. All those went away with Messenger.
