We recently got a fantastic update for the facebook app. Chat + push notifications yay. Now getting to the point of this post. Do I need to have background data on (I have a Droid2) to get my push notifications? I have it set off to save battery and today I used the app market and turned on the background data in order to use it and then all my facebook notifications came in. Can anyone tell me if they are still getting their notifications while background data is off? Or am I going to have to check it manually with background data off?
