Facebook App question

[jerr52490]

Ok, I just got a droid X on Saturday and have noticed some issues. I appear to be always logged into facebook and often find I have chat messages I have missed. Is there a fix for this, or what should I do about this, I do not want to be shown of facebook 24/7. Thanks.
