Facebook app vs. facebook access from browser

Facebook app vs. facebook access from browser?
For some reason, I think that accessing facebook from browser (I use dolphines) is much better than using the app...
any thoughts ? or am I the only one who thinks this way?

The Facebook app has improved dramatically since I first got an Android, but it still pretty much sucks. I'll continue to use the browser to access it myself.

I use the facebook widget in Launcher Pro Plus.

The facebook app is complete crap so its either LP or the browser for me

I'm not too thrilled with the one in LP myself, but I do use it. The browser comes up when I use it, switching back and forth is a pain.

I don't understand. I use the android facebook app. I get chat and notifications. Plus if I am not in the app, and someone tried to chat me or friend request me, I get a notification on the top bar of the phone.

I might not get a notification on my home screen outside the app when someone posts to my wall, but I get around that by having my email push notification when that happens.

I don't see hardly any difference between using the app, or sitting on my laptop using firefox.

I use Flow, it's much more stable than Facebook for Android and has a lot more functionality. I had the free version for about a day and soon bought the paid one. The dev is immensely committed and active. He usually updates a couple of times per week. I've only had it a couple of months and it has been improved greatly in that time. The only thing it doesn't have is chat. That suits me - I use ebuddy or Go Chat when I want to chat, and I can go on Facebook on my mobile for a quick nose around without getting caught by people trying to message me. I know not everyone agrees though and I would think chat will be integrated soon enough.

seesmic works great for me as a widget so i can lazily see if anyone's said something interesting lately... but if I'm actually going to DO something in facebook i'm using the browser

Chat is already available with the Facebook App..? Atleast for me, when I go into the App I can see a chat option and it does work.

Yes, that's correct (although it's never worked consistently for me). That's what I was saying - Facebook for Android has chat and Flow doesn't, but IMHO Flow is so, so much better in every other way. It's more reliable and feature rich, and chat is readily available via alternative apps anyway :)
