Facebook Authenication Failed

I have a Droid 3 and every time i log into the Facebook App it kicks me right back out and says "Facebook authentication failed" Ive tried to cleat the Cache, Reset my phone, change password, Uninstall and reinstall,l Restart my phone EVERYTHING i can think of and it still is doing this for about 14 hours now. Its getting very frustrating. ive went to Accounts and logged in thru facebook and set up an account there then tried and still nothing. When i try to log in on my browser it says must log in over and over again. ive even tried other facebook apps and nothing.

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!!!
 
Shonda, welcome to Android Forums. I've never experienced the problem so I'm not certain of the fix. My guess would be to go into settings>accounts and sync and find the facebook link. Clicking on it should give you a chance to either sync or to delete account. I think I would delete the account and try setting it up once again.
Making very certain I had user name and password exactly as it should be.
 
Welcome to Android Forum. Sorry to hear that. The error you are getting (authentication failed) simple means that either your username or password is incorrect or has been compromised. There are usually two ways of fixing this. 1) Clear the cache, cookies, and history from your phone browser. 2) Unistall/reinstall any FB app you have installed. "I would recommend using the FB for Android application or m.touch.facebook app(mobile app)". Type slowly your username and password - if problem still persists, then go to the full version of FB and at the log in page... choose the option to change your password. I hope you've already solved this problem - if not then follow steps above.

My friend logged into my facebook application to see if it does it with her and it didnt so i changed my email thru facebook to see if it will help and i still get kicked out. i can access facebook thru my laptop but not phone but other ppl can log in with no problem from my phone. its just my facebook.

Any ideas????
 
If you read down through this thread you will see the consensus of the crowd is that your phone has saved your incorrect username/password in it's cache. You will need to clear that cache and delete the facebook account on your phone. You need to delete any other third party facebook apps you have if any as well. Then starting from scratch... log into facebook with your correct username/password.
Either read the message I left a link to of another's fix for this problem or simply follow Rush's message fix. I hope this will get you back into facebook.
 
Shonda, perhaps you should check in with the users of your phone. They may have a better insight on exactly what you should do to clear your cache. Here is a list of the Android phones. Just click on our device and then ask your question in that area. I hope with their help you will soon resolve your facebook login problem.
