Help Facebook chat heads?

So I've recently had to get back into Facebook following the death of a close friend (everyone wants details etc) and I discovered chat heads which seems useful except that it's only on my home screen.
Is there a way to make it float over every app?

Try disabling "hide while using apps that take up the whole screen" in settings>chat heads

In Facebook or Messenger mate? Can't even find settings in Messenger lol. I'm a dummy

In messenger lol you're no dummy, not if you've held out without a FB this long. Settings is the last tab to the right, you can swipe to the left a couple times and you'll see the chat head options

You genius. That did it. I now have an annoying circle on top of my AF app lol.
