Using the contact sync would probably pole the facebook server every time you looked at your people or anything. Does anyone think that this could definitely be a big impact on battery life?
You can set the refresh frequency. If you don't use the Facebook app all day long, it is only going to use a little bit of battery every time it syncs. Mine syncs every four hours, so the impact on battery life is minuscule.
