How to DISABLE facebook push notifications? I use the email notifications only...have the 'notifications' turned OFF in the app..but, they still come in - duplicating my notifications now..

grrr

Im trying to get mine to work and you're trying to stop it from working lol. Irony

+1.

It was odd living in that 8 hour span with working push notifications that allowed for some practicality to a social networking application.

Glad we're back to the old crappy way.

I'm with you.

I wouldn't mind using the Facebook push notifications, but they aren't reliable. Mine are very sporadic.

I prefer using gmail notifications through the F+ app. However, because the Official app decides to push notifications every once in awhile, it results in duplicate alerts.

The only thing I've done is to make sure the offical app is "silent" on its notifications until they get this worked out (probably will take months).

Well, the email notification reply option wasn't working for months..until I sent them a letter in the MAIL! Now it works, but included in my letter was android v. 1.5 app duplicating the messages! ugh. I wish they would get this fixed! What a waste of my time for duplicate messages!

Facebook got my snail mail letter apparently. They fixed the email reply and all of a sudden my facebook push notifications stopped coming in thank god!
