Facebook for Android problem

[tjhazuki]

I just got my new phone in the mail today; first time Android user! Everything's going good. I just have one problem right now though. Before I added the Facebook app; I was able to login perfectly fine without this error message on the computer:

Facebook is down for required maintenance right now, but you should be able to get back on within a few minutes. In the meantime, read more about why you're seeing this message. Thanks for your patience as we improve the site.

I tried to login with a different account and the account logs in fine without the maintenance error. So I go back to the app on my phone and try to login again but it says:

Facebook is down for required maintenance right now, but you should be able to get back on within a few hours.

That's what it says whenever I try to login on my phone; but with a different account I login with it logs in fine?

Thanks for the help...

well i think thats just the FB issue, or the app problem. see if there is an update available on Play/Market.

When facebook does updates, they usually affect batches of accounts at a time. So one account may be affected, while others are not. It will clear up soon

why dont you just try other fb app like friendcaster?

You will learn in time the facebook for android app is horrible. Everytime the "fix" something another issue comes up.

It is garbage. I find it funny that it runs super smooth on iPhones. Schmuckerberg needs to listen to his users and stop being a greedy *****e.
