Glad to have you and lets see if i can try and assist you today
Have you tried going into your contacts, Settings > Accounts, and unchecked the facebook one, this should stop the facebook sync and such, or you can have it just show facebook contacts.

At the end of the Facebook app's settings there is a sync setting.
