Facebook issue, can't post to Wall

Hi all,
After the recent Facebook update, I can't seem to find the option of posting to someone's Wall anymore. I'm able to comment and Like posts already made, but not make a new post. I've checked several different Walls and it seems to be a consistent issue.
Anyone else noticed this, and is there a fix for the problem that I've just missed?

Should say I've been able to post on Walls using touch.facebook.com in the browser, so I think this is an application issue.

So, what happens when you go to the FB app's main screen, select Friends, select the friend, and then select Write Post, type in your post and then press Post?

I tried that, but nothing showed on either their wall or mine. I then tried it again, this time tagging them in the post dialog box, and that worked. I knew it was something I hadn't figured out yet, thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
