Facebook keeps syncing contacts

I have the Facebook app and I go into the app setting and un check the sync contacts and it takes them outta my phone but within a few hours it does it again.. What gives? Any ideas/help? Thanks in advance..

If it matters I have the Galaxy S5 from Verizon.
 
Same thing is happening to me. Started yesterday 10-14-2014. Use Facebook app settings to not sync. Got sync turned off for Facebook in accounts settings on my galaxy s5. Every few hours contacts sync on their own anyways.
 
I've been a beta tester for over a year, this started happening with the last beta release on my device. I reported it as a bug (several other folks did as well) but it hasn't been fixed so I am assuming they are doing it on purpose.
 
Darn good reason to never allow Automatic Updates.

You get to hear about the bad ones you don't want.

Me? I turn the internet off every time my phone is asleep, it never updates w/o me knowing it.
 
They released an update that fixed it yesterday. I think their will be a stable release soon, so you should see an update in the next few days.
