Facebook Links & Stock Browser

Using my Facebook App and Android Stock Browser on JellyBean 4.1.2, and when I tap on a news story using the Facebook App that has a link on it and once it opens on my stock browser when I close the browser and then close Facebook app, then when I go to open the Stock browser it loads with the page that I had already closed via the Facebook App.

Why is this, as I always have to open a new page then close the old one and select the new one which is my home page.

I do not think this has anything to do with Facebook rather than it being the Stock browser having the issue.

Any help on this please as I have tried other browsers but just don't like them.

It's called History. Some browsers retain it, some let you delete on exit. Boat lets you delete. Look in your settings.

Since FB opened in your browser, the browser is keeping history.

Browsers on the computer keep history, too. Easier to delete there.

I would like just to confirm what I said about Facebook opening in my phones browser, it's the link that opens in the browser not Facebook itself as I have the Application, not sure if that is what you meant by your reply?

Anyway I think I may have a solution and will see if it stays like this, what I did was delete the browsers cache and data and reboot the phone, I then clicked on my browser which then said it was signing into Google sites, I then typed in what I wanted for my homepage in the browser bar and brought up that page, I then went to menu and settings then advanced, then amended the homepage settings in there to current page which of course is the page I had already typed in the address for, I then opened up a new window #2 and closed #1, and now when I open the browser each time it appears to sit in the Android memory so when executed it will open from cache, and I tested it with a Facebook embedded link within the Facebook App and when I close Facebook App then go to my stock browser the HomePage I created earlier opens.

HTH anyone with a similar issue.
