This is something that I can use for sure. The FB app is too resource intensive... And I just refuse to install the Messenger App.
Same here...shitty that they're trying to force us to use the full app by marking this incompatible.

There is already an application by the name of "tinfoil" in playstore. Which is basically the mobile web version of Facebook. You can try that but I didn't like it due to the fact that when you scroll down, the taskbar become hidden and you will have to scroll all the way up to know about notifications etc.

That's cool. Thanks for sharing. I need to look into it closer when I have time, but I like that I don't need Messenger (which I refuse to install!).

For those trying it for the 1st time, be patient. I thought it wasn't working because it had a blue screen with the "f" logo and 2 little blocks moving for 2 minuets or more before it finally loaded the newsfeed.

The FB Lite app doesn't have that issue, the taskbar stays fixed at the top when you scroll. The performance was terrible for me though, slower even than just opening the web site in a browser. I uninstalled it for now. Hopefully it will improve in time.

The regular FB app performs much better. It's resource usage can be tamed somewhat if you disable notifications and use Greenify to hibernate it.

Thanks for your reply but as I said that the notification bar scroll up when you scroll down. It is like that for me. And that's the reason, I can't use it. I don't know how your notification bar stand still? If they fix this issue then it is acceptable for me.

He's saying the Fb Lite status bar is static.

It works fine for me. I've noticed it doesn't do embedded video though. :/

Ah, thanks. I missed that point. But Facebook lite is also not working for me. It is always asking for password and user name, then I receive a message from my Facebook application that someone want to use Facebook application, if it is okay. I say yes. Then it start working. I have to do every time, I open the lite version. Secondly it doesn't have notification bar. So it is useless.

Weird... The asking is probably because you have both apps, but the notification thing, it doesn't look like this?

Using this now. I REFUSE...ABSOLUTELY REFUSE...to be obligated to install two apps just to use one site. If this becomes unsupported in the future I will leave facebook.

I completely agree. I just didn't like all the battery/data draining of the full app(s).
