Facebook not loading

The newest FB app was working fine, and then several days ago it failed to load any pictures on my news feed. In addition, although it will show that there are notifications, when tapped the notification window shows as "loading", but never loads, even if I leave it up for an hour or more. If I tap on the comments to see them, the window shows as "loading" but never loads. The "plus" button doesn't work at all.

Sometimes if I tap on the place where a picture is supposed to be, the photo window will load the picture. Sometimes tapping a picture does nothing.

FB works fine in the browser window. But I'd rather have the convenience of the app, if I can get it to work. I just wonder what happened, since it was working fine before.

I have attempted to uninstall the updates, which resulted in not being able to login at all. Then I reinstalled the updates, which returned FB to it's current glitchy state. Nice, but not helpful.

I'd like to get this working, if anyone has any ideas that will help.

Have you tried uninstalling the entire app and then reinstalling it?

Stuntman, thanks for your question: there is no option to uninstall the app completely, or I would have tried that already.

This often happens with Facebook....usually clearing the cache and/or data sorts it out. Always try that if an app gets buggy....usually sorts them out.

I have the same problem on my Galaxy Nexus running ICS. When I login it just says "Loading...Try Again" It has been doing this for a week. I have cleared catch, completely uninstalled, etc., and it won't work.

Logging in under someone elses account, then logging back in under mine seemed to fix the problem immediately.
