facebook notification???

I removed facebook and messenger long ago. However, I still get notifications that "facebook connection has timed out" on my S5. Can anyone explain this?

There's Marshmallow in the Root section, I mentioned. before.

Did you wipe cache and data prior to uninstalling as per #1.5 of S5 Lollipop Update Problems - Dummies Guide.

It's been so long ago I can't recall. Perhaps I should reinstall facebook, clear the cache, then re-uninstall?

that might do the job, I would just power the phone off, do the 3 finger startup and get to the Clear Cache Partition menu.
