Help Facebook Notifications coming Twice

What email accounts do you have setup? Do you have an email account and your facebook account setup.

Do you have facebook setup to send you an email when you get a message on facebook?

So you actually get a message from facebook and then a message to your email address?

Have you installed the recent facebook updates....there have been 2 in the past week.

If this only happened after the upgrade....then goto Settings->Applications->Facebook....force close and clear data....then check it again and see if you are still getting 2 messages.
 
Are you using Timescape? Facebook is integrated into TS so you're likely getting the notification from integrated FB as well as the FB app. Go into accounts & sync and delete the FB account with the SE logo, problem solved.
