Facebook Notifications not working

[CharFischer]

Everysince I changed to the new timeline I haven't been receiving FaceBook notifications on my mobile. I have tried everything, rebooting and uninstalling and reinstalling. Any ideas?

Nothing. Facebook for Android notifications are hit and miss if they work. Try Friendcaster.

I've always had success with Facebook notifications. However, I had noticed recently that it quit sending me push notifications for things like Likes, so it only sends notifications for comments or wall posts. Which is fine with me, I'd prefer for it to be that way. I'm not sure what caused the changes, unfortunately.

I have never gotten Facebook notifications, I blame crappy application design.

Friendcaster will send you text notifications?

[chanchan05]

Wait, what notifications are you talking about? We were talking about status bar app notifications. If you refer to SMS notifications, you have to check your FB webpage settings. They changed a lot when they shifted to timeline.
