Root Facebook notifications?

I'm using miui atm, and i never get facebook notifications, why? Also, i've flashed back to the stock rom before, and it still didn't work, it seems like after i flashed a new rom for my first time, it stopped working after that, i use facebook a lot and it would be nice to have them working, any help is appreciated.

After you installed Facebook and tried the sync with contacts, delete the app and reinstall it again. Syncing and notifications should work. I'm on Miui as well and that fixed it.
