Help Facebook push notifications?

Been lurking all over google, and the forums but to no avail. Is there solutions to receiving push notifications for facebook on SGS? I've set my settings to receive notifications, but so far I've set my notifications to come to my email. I've heard from someone that google and facebook are having some sort of differences. Anyone have any solutions?

This is the one single thing I miss about my Blackberry. The Facebook notifications were push and instant. I hope that comes to the Android app, soon!

2.2 suppose to have push notification built in so we'll have to wait and see if a facebook app can use it.

Not as far as I can tell. The only notifications I get are for Facebook mails (not for comments, likes etc) and there are only intervals to set - no push.

In the market download a app called Bloo. Works well for Facebook notification. You get to decide how often you want it to check for notification (fastest is a 1 min). its not instant but its better than nothing . Also if you cant get the code go to the Facebook mobile site (m.facebook.com) and search bloo for android and click on allow app, run Bloo again and you should because to get the code (Y)!

You can also check out TweetDeck, it supports both twitter & facebook. You can set the sync interval & it notifies you in the status bar when there are updates.

Most FB apps can do time intervals buts always been about battery usage. What I was saying was push technology is suppose to be in 2.2 my hullomail apps asks if i want to use it, chrome to phone app uses it, the question is how easy is it to set up for other apps like FB.
