Help Facebook storing ALOT of data?

Facebook has been running real slow, so I go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications. The app is using like 12MB but storing something like 46MB of data. Is this normal, or is there something else I'm missing?

Yes it is normal it is a problem that the Facebook app has. If you want better performance get a 3rd party facebook app like Friendcaster or Fast facebook. Or just use your browser to go to facebook's site. As far as I know though the independent facebook messenger works find.
