Help Facebook Sync

Anyone else having trouble getting Facebook to work in Accounts & Sync? When ever I click on Facebook it just goes back to the account list.

i should have been kinder sorry.. so many new comers to the nexus line.. the sync issue existed on the Nexus s also.. so i figured we all knew bout it

Anyone been able to figure out how to get their Facebook photos to sync with the People app? Is it somewhere in settings or do I need a third party app?

people app currently does not have facebook integration.

I use Google Contact Sync , or you can go into the person you want to set on the Facebook app, open the photo then menu set as contact photo

I'm having some trouble with Facebook syncing. My OG Droid would sync my Facebook contact pictures based on name, but when ever I try to add Facebook to "Accounts and Sync" it allows me to select Facebook, but then it does not show up. Pretty much nothing happens. I tried rebooting the phone, updating the Facebook app, but nothing helps.

Anyone else with this issue?

Hello,

This may have already been discussed but I had a question

Can I sync my contacts with facebook? If I go to accounts and select facebook nothing happens. It jsut takes me back to the accounts page.

I have a couple contacts that when I go to the people app it shows them but no one else has it and I dont see a way to add a facebook to them manually.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Syncmypix, friendcaster, or you can use heartofangel.com's google contact sync. Been a million threads on this google stopped sync with the nexus s on 2.3

There is an update coming (when? no idea) to 4.0.3 that is supposed to help with social network support and the people app. No specific mention of Facebook though.

+1 for sync my pix. Friendcaster is the only facebook app worth bothering with as well.

Thanks for the update. I was just curious since some had facebook syneced and others didn't. Also when I get a FB message in the notification bar if I click on it nothing happens (app doesn't load) sometimes.

I used heartofangel.com's google contact sync. I thought it worked pretty nicely.

Didnt they just announce that 4.0.3 will allow for facebook sync?

Just for kicks, instead of adding facebook to your accounts and sync list, go ahead and open the facebook app and sign in there and initiate the sync from the app.

I have had the same problem on the A855 and the above method has been a flawless alternative for me for a while.
