I have noticed an odd pattern on my S4. I am using Nova Prime. I have the option checked that allows for a little number next to icons telling me how many unread/unprocessed items I have (so, if I have three unread emails, there is a little number 3 in the corner of the mail icon, or any folder that has it). Works great, and nicely mimics one of the few IOS features I miss when using Android.
I notice that the Facebook icon has the same unread count. However, there is no option in Nova that allows for this, nor is there an option in the Facebook program itself. What is interesting to me is that I am also running Nova on my Nexus 7, and try as I may, I cannot get the unread count for Facebook on that device. So, that little nicety seems specific to the S4.
What gives? Notifier does not seem to be coming from nova or Facebook, and I don't use Touchwhiz.
I do also have Apex on my phone, but that shouldn't affect anything.
