Help Facebook Updates?

Do anyone else not get any Facebook alerts on their captivate? I never get a message tone when something is updated on my facebook...The settings look right.

Sadly No for some reason even tho the settings show it enabled, it does not do any kind of notification

I get new "event" notifications on my phone, but other Facebook notifications...not so much

Take a look at the FB App page on Facebook, there are plenty of posts about this as well as the poor performance.

The FB android app is a very poor performer ... and it's a shame too. So much potential ...

i was just wondering about this. mine doesnt push notifactions either. guess i didnt have to look far! which is kinda sad cuz that means theres no fix lol

It works... just very poorly.

They are working on an update but the main guy behind Facebook phone apps is an Apple Fanboy. Read an article about him in which he trashes Android. I would say this is one of the main reasons for the lack of progress we are seeing. Now that Android is picking up steam, we should see improvement sooner rather than later.
