If you're rooted you can install a ROM that basically removes all the blur and makes it function like a D1 when it comes to syncing contacts...

If you're not rooted, you're SOL.

I don't know why anyone uses the full Contacts list. Just star the people you actually call on a regular basis and make a shortcut to that. That way you still sync Facebook user pictures.

Just go to contacts screen and change ALL Contacts to Google.... Your other contacts are there but hidden... Its one of the small issues I dont like in blur... Vanilla Android on orignal Droid allowed you to only sync with those that had numbers...

Second way would be to not use the Blur Facebook thats built in and just use the Market version and syncmypics.... You can get to your account and also sync pics with your google list, and even save them to your google contacts database online... We did this when Socialite was broken on Ally...

I didn't sync via Blur personally, didn't want all 1,000+ on my phone. But I do like the idea of using a Market FB App + SyncMyPics combo. Thanks for the suggestion.

I've got a rooted D2, so I've been toying with the idea of ROM'ing it.

Obviously all of you already have facebook on your phones. I can't get to that point. When I go to add my account, it says an internal error occurred. What does that mean and how do I fix it so that I can get my facebook on my phone and upload my contacts? Any help is greatly appreciated! PS - I just got my phone yesterday, trying to get used to it, my first smart phone.

Internal error??.. Check and make sure your log in and password are correct, 3g coverage is good and thats facebook hasnt already been set up for a different account...

If none of these are the issue you may need a reset and set up the facebook at the beginning... Remember there is a difference in adding it as an account to sync and running the app.... Two seperate programs....

My log in and password are correct, it's what I would use if I was on the computer. The coverage is good, everything else is working great. I can use the app, that works fine. But before I even installed the app, I couldn't sync the account and would, still do, get the internal error message. It's strange. I might try to reset...
