I couldn't take it anymore and went to VZW website to order my Droid... The website applied my NE2 discount like I thought it would. Then, it offered to upgrade one of my other lines to a Droid for free!

I got my hubby a Droid in Dec. because he had the Samsung Glyde and it was doing unspeakable things to him. If we had waited, one of the phones would have been free. (Too bad the other folks on my plan while they are able to upgrade, are old people who would declare war on everything if I replaced their phones with "one of them thar new fangled touch thingies.")

So, I am happy to be getting a Droid, happy that I could get a free Droid, and kicking myself for paying the original $200 for my husband's Doid.

Yes, the OP can still do this, you can call customer service (within 30 days of original purchase and before the sale ends) and tell them you decided to take them up on the BOGO, they'll order it for you for free (not sure if it may be free after rebate), using the upgrade from one of your other lines. New Droids go for well over $300 on ebay! You don't need to actually activate the phone, just accept the terms and conditions.
