Help Factory data reset, hard reset?

Whenever I run the factory data reset through settings, I sometimes still have information saved on the phone after the reset. Random things like favorite phone contacts. I was wondering what the other method was to fully wipe the Sensation? And is it bad to use this method over and over?

Yeah that's giving me issues too. You know the setup that runs in the beginning? Whenever it asks me if I want to backup my settings to google account I always check "no". Then I go into settings and notice that backup settings is still checked. I actually found the way to do a hard reset using hardware buttons. Do you know if it more effective manually than to just do it through settings?

If you have CWM installed for root, you can wipe that way.
