Factory Data Reset

Its a simple question. Do you lose everything when you do a reset? i.e. Pictures, texts and music is my main concern.
Any input would be appreciated.

You lose everything on the phone memory,pictures and music are stored on the sd card so you wont lose those,i believe texts are stored on the phone memory so you will lose those.

Saying that you can use the app mybackup to back up everything on your phone so you dont have to lose anything.
