Factory reset a google android

My 9" Google Android4.0.4 Mid Capacitive Screen 8G Tablet Dual Camera WiFi LAN 3G is stuck on the introductory screen, tried to do a factory reset with the reset botton on the back but nothing happen it just return to where it was before. How do I do the proper factory reset on this machine.
