Help Factory reset - is there an app to restore everything?

OK. Upgraded to gingerbread.

If I wanted to factory reset, is there an app out there that I can backup everything (email, phone log, messages, apps, app settings) and then just run to restore the whole lot?

titanium backup can be downloaded from android market for free. you have to be rooted though.

Well I think its wast of time.
If you do a factory reset and then do a full restore you will end up with the same system.
Best is to you googles service ( contact, email and other stuff) and use Titanium backup pro for the apps.
Phone log and message I guess you can find an app for that to, but most of the time you should not restore old stuff.
I guess you want to do a factory reset for cleaning up the phone or remove some issues with it.

Well currently theres also a problem with my phone (GPS not working too well) so if I take it in for repair the chances are they will either wipe it or give a replacement so I want to backup up my stuff in advance.

Yes you should always have a backup on your stuff.
Also never use kies for that.
I know some people has used the phone for over 6 months and then they got some error on it and they dont have any backup or they think kies has done all for them.
Well they have lost most of the stuff, like all photo and apps.
Then they complain about it and dont understand why they cant get there stuff back.
most of the stuff they can replace, but photo you have taken you can never replace. So its very stupid not to have a backup on it.
All my photo I got on 2-3 different places. First in the phone. then i often copy them to my computer. I also make a backup to external harddrive.
That way I will not loose them.
It would be a very very bad luck if all 3 will break in the same time..

Photos easy enough to back up. Just connect and copy off.

I'm more concerned about my apps. I dont want to have to reinstall them all and I dont want to lose any data with the ones I've got. i.e. to do lists, notepad etc.
