Help Factory Reset - Nexus One

turt2live

Lurker
Hello,

I have a fairly bad problem.

I won't lie when I say I dropped my phone a full 8 meters and cracked the screen. The screen is rendered useless minus the touch screen, that works (I know because I can unlock it as I can only see 1/100th of the screen)

Before I send it in for repairs I want to factory reset it, as I cannot use the screen, I would prefer instructions on hard reset.

I already know that you need to press the Vol. down and power buttons, but for how long?

I also would appreciate how long it would take and such, like how long do I need to hold each button, how long do I need to wait, and then press Vol. down X times to get to reset, and so on. Please be as detailed as possible as I have NO screen what so ever. (I also do not have a USB cable, that broke months ago and I never bothered to replace)

Any help is appreciated!

USB cables are v cheap - 1 to 2 squids in the uk, why wouldn't you replace it, are you in a country where this is not a feasible option?

Will be impossible, when you wipe with stock recovery you have to pick a random yes out of a bunch of no's

Get a USB cable and use fastboot erase userdata
