Has anyone ever experienced a unasked for factory reset when swapping sim cards? A relative is travelling in the UK and Italy now (from South Africa), and when he replaced his South African sim card with a prepaid UK one, his N1 did a complete reset, wiping out all apps & settings.
As I'm about to go to the US next week with my N1 (and put in a US sim), this has me worried, and thinking about taking a "dumbphone" along instead. Any idea why this happened, and how to avoid it? Thanks.
