Help factory reset protection

my 7year old has a Lenovo yoga tab 3 and has messed with it and its asking for his gmaill account which I don't now what it is tried a few methods but still no good any ideas in what to do thanks

If he has actually reset it then you need to find out what his Gmail login is. I don't know an alternative. It wouldn't be much use as an anti-theft measure if you could bypass it, after all.

If it's just a matter of getting into the Play Store that's fine, but if he has reset it and been caught by FRP that isn't an option.

Correct.

So you are saying that whoever set that account up did not keep a record of what it was? That's a really bad idea with mobile devices: these days both Android and Apple devices have features designed to prevent a thief simply resetting a device and using or selling it, but by definition they will also catch a legitimate owner who wipes a device without knowing its registered account details.

I'm sorry that that explains your problem rather than solving it, but I've nothing else to offer. You really do need to find out the original login details.

i setup the gmail account 7 months ago but only so he could go on playstore but didn't know android started this new feature I think its bad I paid for this tablet and its still in warranty

If you setup the gmail account didn't you get a confirmation email when it was setup to an alternate email address? If you know the gmail account but not the password, you could reset the password, but I think there is a delay (72 hours?) before the new password will work with FRP.
