Help Factory Reset - Recovery Menu

I've got a problem with the OS and can't get into settings to reset the device.

From what I've found you hold the power button and press and release volume up well in the recovery screen but it just keeps reseting, it's ment to give you a menu to do a wipe/factory reset.

What am I doing wrong?

There appears to be a data wipe icon if I leave it, it then shows the cold boot screen with change mode and confirm option.

Can you select data wipe here? I'm trying but it's not working. This is the most cryptic recovery menu I've ever used.

EDIT: Nevermind I figured it out, instructions I originally found online were incorrect. :S
