First some background. I bought my gtab and immediately installed Vegan w/o checking which branch i was on. I've been told that if I successfully installed 5.1 then I have to be on 1.1. Since installing Vegan I have wanted to install a HC ROM but I have been unable to install CWM v08 using the internal or external sd card route. No matter which way I try to install v08 I end up at the 3 birds screen with "recovery key detected" in the upper left and the tablet locked. Now I have sold my gtab and need to do a factory reset but I can't even do that. Settings >>> Privacy >>> Factory reset causes the tablet to reset and hang up at the 3 birds screen. What am i doing wrong? Why doesn't factory reset work? Why am I getting hung up on the 3 birds screen while trying to install CWM v08?
