Factory Reset: will I lose OS upgrade?

I want to reset my tablet in order to change the registered owner. If I do that, will I need to upgrade to the latest version of the operating system all over again? Just upgraded to Kit Kat this morning.

You won't lost it at all- factory resets do not remove anything in /system, which includes the OS
