Help factory reset

Why do you want to factory reset?

I know that you probably are worried about boot looping your Motorola Triumph.

When I had my my Optimus V, which was rooted and overclocked I did a factory reset. The result was instant boot loop, but I was able to fix it.

I would definitely recommend unrooting before you did a factory reset.

Regards,

i used a metamorph wifi icon... and it looked like it pushed the screen a smidget... dunno for sure... and wanted to reset to make sure... i didnt mess my phone up.. but when i did a factory reset without unroot... it erased everything but all of my MM icons(wifi battery talk icon) stayed.. but no boot loop.

hmmm..

It may be overkill but I:

1. renamed all the crap bloatware back to the original names
2. uninstalled all software and updates
3. used Gingerbreak to unroot
4. deleted account via factory reset in Settings|Privacy
5. deleted all caches and factory reset in recovery

Phone reboots fine

gonna take mine back tomorrow. I fell back the Optimus w/aoSP yesterday due to battery and signal issues. This was my second Triumph. I'll wait awhile before I try to upgrade again.

Yeah factory reset won't help metamorphosis changes because those change files on the /system partition. Factory reset just wipes /data and /cache. You need to restore the stock nandroid backup!
