Help factory reset

hi guys wonder if any of you can help , i have bought a phone from a guy who advertised on local paper , now it runs jellybean but i wnat it back to its normal i dont know anythin about roms or such , can i just hit factory reset and all will take it back to its original state

All the factory reset does is reset the existing ROM and clear all your data. So, if it's running JB you will get a 'reset JB'. If you want it back to the latest factory ROM you would need to flash one. As it's running JB then it must have been rooted. Go to the 'root' section here or check out the DHD section over on xda.
