Help Factory reset

I've quite a few performance/stability issues on my N7 running 4.1.1 & the 3.1.10 franco Kernel.
Will I be able to factory reset without too much hassle, is it likely to fix the problems & what is the simplest method to do it..?

Have you thought about upgrading to 4.2.2?
