Help Factory Reset?

So, I've had this phone for about two months and it has been acting up. I have a family plan through Metro PCS and my phone deleted all of my contacts twice that were stored on my SD card and it will not play videos along with the sound. The sound is ahead of the videos. This happens with every video I watch except on Facebook and Netflix. If I factory reset my phone will it fix these problems? And I was told that if I factory reset my phone it will take me off of the family plan and I won't have service...is that true?

A factory reset would most likely solve your problems yes, which phone do you have btw?
Secondly no, factory resetting your device will not affect your plan/service in the slightest, that goes for Metro and any carrier, trust me I've factory reset my phone five times in the last two weeks, I still have service.

Blu is right: I would advise removing the SIM and microSD card (just to be safe) and doing the factory reset. Once you've set it back up, power it down, reinsert the SIM and SD card and power it back up. Should be fine. Let us know how it goes :)
