Help Factory Samsung keyboard

So I really like this kebyoard, but it seems that once in awhile it freezes and duplicates what I have already typed. Am I the only one having this issue? I tried clearing cache and data but it came back. Any suggestions?

no you are not... it drives me mental that it does that and i have no idea why... hoping someone will have an answer :(

also the keyboard is good ya, but samsung auto-correct is just awful! lol it guesses the most randomest words!

Swiftkey is about as good as it gets, if Samsung isn't doing it for you.

FWIW, I am not experiencing any hangs/snags when I switch back and forth between the keyboards.

I have used Smart Keyboard Pro for several years and put it on the Note 4 right away. Never really tried the stock one... love SKP!

I'm using the new Google keyboard. I have always been a SwiftKey fanboy singing it's praises since my Droid Incredible but this new keyboard is pretty smooth and looks great.

Also using the new Google keyboard. I don't think I still know how to type though bcos I swipe all the time and it's fairly accurate.
Also you can try Swype keyboard too. I've never been a fan of Samsung keyboard.

I'm not a real fan on the Samsung keyboard and some of its swipe word completions. But it's the only decent free one that has the number row always displayed. So I'm using it.

I had an early version of Kii on my N2 for years, but the number row became a premium feature, that I might pay for, but they don't even offer to get the premium version on Play Store - so I gave up on them.

I've used Swype since the early days in 2010 on my OG Evo. I really like it, but the default keyboard on here with the row of numbers really got me thinking. I like having them.

I may experiment. I seen to recall on my last experiment with another keyboard that the word suggestions on Swype were better. I have many more to choose from, and can scroll through them all.

One issue just popped up. Above where I wrote "them" was input as "then". No big deal right? Well, "them" wasn't even a suggested option. I had like 8 suggestions, and the word I wanted wasn't there. I feel "then" and "them" should always be the first option for each other.

samsung's potential word suggestions/corrections are ridiculous... most obvious corrections are turned into these monster words that just completely mess up the conversation. iphone seems to be more intuitive when i type of my friends phones.

I've always been a fan of SwiftKey, it's prediction has always been great. I have found myself using emojis more often now, and SwiftKey doesn't allow for them in certain apps so I went to the Google Keyboard and it's been OK. It's predictive text isn't the greatest, but it's nice at times. I've been trying to use the swype feature more lately too. There's lots of keyboards available so the best thing to do is just try them, if you don't like it, move on to the next one.
