Failures

^^^^^ Mu father-in-law, who was very ill with cancer and not himself at all, put his instant porridge (made with milk) in the microwave for 90 seconds, except he set it for 90 minutes. The kitchen was filled with acrid smoke with John blissfully unaware until we told him, cancelled the microwave and opened the window. The porridge was a lump of glowing carbon and the microwave was trashed.

Wow, that reminds me of the time my Sister-in-law got a full pan of water to catch on fire. She never was much of a cook, even had a sign on the kitchen wall "Dinner is ready when the smoke alarm goes off". Guess that's why my niece became a chef.

I can do basic stuff like make an egg or bread, but the complex stuff out of Blue Apron, it takes my brain time.
