I have a file in Google Drive. It's been there for over a decade: I only keep it out of a sense of nostalgia. Only NOW do I get a warning from Google about it! I'm pretty sure that I could count, on one hand, the number of people who would be interested in following my instructions.

It's no secret that ALL cloud storage services data mine the crap out of every file, every photo, every document to extract as much personal information as possible to build a consumer profile so detailed and intimate that most consumers would have a heart attack if they saw it... and sell that information to whoever will pay for it to create "a more personalized online experience". That's why most of our data is now self-hosted on our NAS.
