Fairly new... to android Os that is!!

Hi all, my name is Alex. I'm a 31yr old male and I currently reside in Aurora CO. I accidentally stumbled across this site when trying to learn more about android and how it's all done. Plus I really wanna root my phone but wanna be sure how to first without breaking my phone. Look forward 2 chatting with some of you sometime!! PS 4 got to mention I have an Alcatel one touch fierce as my cell and have Tmobile as my carrier

Thanks you guys. So, I understand there is certain areas in which to post ands ask ?'s. I do have alot but wanna start with want to knows on the Alcatel OT Evolve and Fierce. Also have ? regarding my buddy having a Trojan flash virus on his phone and cannot get rid of it without having root permissions or the recovery to stock rom. Anyway you can direct me to the right place?
