Fake update?

Every morning i get a notification telling me there's an available update for one of my application. when i select it, it goes to 'my applications' but no updates... this has been happening since i got the CRC update on my unlocked G1...
is it updating before i select it? or...

any clues how to get this fixed?

It is probably a file index issue .... uninstall the app ... turn phone off ...
turn phone back on and reinstall app ... this should fix the apps index file ...
