faking/emulating wifi over 3g?

Any app that'll let the phone appear as wifi connected when on the net over 3g?

Firstly it avoids this - xkcd: Server Attention Span I know sites try to be helpful by having mobile verisons of pages but they often bugger it up.

Secondly, although I can listen to radio via Tunein Radio on 3g, services like the dear old beeb won't stream radio on demand over 3g.

This would be great. There are a few programs our there that I used to use on the iPhone.
