Family command center??

I am looking for a away to have my tablet (nexus 7 2013) display family info when it's in a dock. I would like to have it rotate though displays like show the calender or agenda, then show the weather, then the local news. Now I know that I can have widgets display all this but I had this thought that either with an app or in daydream mode I could have it rotate through these active feed items, sort of like a slide show? I would imagine that there is some method to do this, I am thinking I just don't have the correct search terms, when I google my thoughts I come up with best app lists and charging stations and whatever.
