'Fast and Responsive' Dialer for Z3 Dual D6633?

Design-wise, the stock dialer is fine... except that when I tap on a name to call, it takes a second or two before the "Call Using" dialogue box pops up to let me select which SIM to make the call.

The lag might not sound significant but it is annoying if you're juggling calls in a customer support capacity.

It would help if the dialer remembers which SIM I used the last time to call the contact, OR simply use the SIM where the call initially came in for future outgoing calls to that contact.

Yes, I've tried out the usual suspects (exDialer, Truedialer, etc.) but they all seem to be using the factory dialer underneath the skin, as they also present me with the same "Call Using" dialogue box and the accompanying lag.

Any ideas are welcome.

Thanks!

Try Pixel Dialler. The free version is here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pixelrush.xphonefree&hl=en

Supposed to remember sims. I've tried it and initially it works well.

Thank you. I tried it and I liked the fact that you can tell it to remember which SIM to use for specific contacts.... except one BIG problem. Even if I've selected a SIM as default in Pixel Dialer, the stock dialer's "Call Using" pop-up still comes out. There seems to be no way to override this behavior. I think it's safe to say that Sony seems to design the built-in dialer to always be in the loop even when making a call using 3rd-party dialers.

Yes, there is no way of defaulting out of the Sony dialler. However the way I used Pixel Phone was to just use its dual sim functionality (i.e. remembering the sim) and then just use the Sony dialler.

Ok, so it's now working. o_O I don't know what happened but I tried it again and the pop-up no longer comes out. I restarted the phone to be sure it won't return to the default dialer and it's really gone.

In fact, after my reply above, I emailed the developer and he promptly responded that the issue was supposed to have been fixed in v3.9 (I have 3.9.2 installed). As I was about to dispute that fact and take a video of it happening, the problem just disappeared.

Now I'm not even sure if the problem really happened or I just dreamt it all up.

Thank you.
