Fast Charge Question

Hi All
Reasonably happy with my S6, the fast charge does the job (when i remember to plug in).
The problem i have is when i am in the car, i previously had a S4 which had its own Brodit mount which charged fine in the car. I am currently using CoPilot for Satnav but when i use the S6 it seriously hits the battery to such a point where it discharges when i am using it even with the charge cable.
Looking on the internet i have order a Quick Charge 2.0 charger for the car, hopefully this will give it enough juice to both charge the phone AND run CoPilot without going backwards. Hopefully this will resolve my problem but this got me thinking.
Is the Charge Pad a fast charge device or a normal slow one? I was thinking of getting one of these but if its a slow charge then its not really worth it and probably worth waiting for newer technology.
Anyone got one?

The (samsung) charge pad is not a "quick charge" pad.....
You can pick up charge pads online for $10-12.00. Worth it to leave at the desk at work and have a constant charge all day.

there are rumors of a "stronger" charging pad coming....but it may be a year or so.....

In my opinion it is worth picking up one (or more) of the cheaper charging pads to keep by the chair as you watch TV or on your desk at work.

You need a car to USB adaptor, and use it directly to your S6 using a USB cable for it to actually charge while using Copilot, like this one.

GPS takes a lot of power, I use Sygic and the Samsung wireless cradle and charger. This one :

And if I use Sygic and wirelessly charge my S6 edge actually loses charge, albeit very slowly. Plugging the lead directly into the phone charges it. Only the
mains charger directly into phone gives me the notification that it is fast charging however it gives out 9V at 1.87Amps or 5V at 2.0Amps. The car charger must give out less than 5V, but at 2.1Amp, obviously the phone only gives out the notification that it is fast charging if the wattage is greater or equal to 10.5 Watts.

According to one of the charger manufacturers, Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 always switches off when the screen goes off and that's supposedly part of the spec.

I don't have a point, I was in the neighborhood and felt like sharing information just fwiw.

I use a quick charger in my car and it supplies enough juice to use navigation, play music that's on the phone and charge the phone. Today I started at 83% and by the time I reached my destination 40 minutes later I had a full charge. It may have been fully charged before I arrived but I didn't really check.

Thanks for the replies guys, i have bought a Quick Charge 2.0 adapter for the car and that does the trick, awesome.
Will look into the pads though although i am happy enough just plugging it into the cable as its a natural movement although if i can find a really cheap good one i might be tempted to get a pad:)
