Hi everyone I just got the S6 and when I plug it into the included charger it says fast charging and it charges it to full in like an hour. I have a few Anker Chargers from when I had an iPhone and the big thing with them if they always both that they also use 2 amps and charge devices at the fastest speed possible. Whenever I plug into it though it just says cable charging 2.5 hours until full so it doesn't seem like it charges any faster than anything else. Does that mean that only the official Samsung charger does the fast charging for this phone? I wanted to buy some extra chargers but if these ones I have right now won't do fast charging when they say they will, then I'm assuming none but the official would. Thanks!

The "official" Samsung fast charger runs at a higher voltage to charge the phone faster. Any standard chargers you have or can buy off the shelf will be the conventional 5V type, regardless of their rated current output. So you're not going to get the same results with the aftermarket ones.

Also, knowing Samsung, they probably have a proprietary pin configuration so you can only use their chargers for fast charging no matter the voltage (pure conjecture)
More to the point, the Samsung quick charge is faster than the Qualcomm Fast Charge 2.0, so you want to use their stuff for a reason - different from the market standard.

Just did mate but I'm afflicted with a terrible bug in the app (or maybe it's the site) where I write a big long post, send it and POOF it's gone. Tried twice and gave up but the gist of it was "good man"
